We are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Adrian Ashworth from Meltham Golf Club as Union President-Elect for 2026 and President for 2027.

Adrian first joined Meltham Golf Club 23 years ago in 2003 and quickly adapted to golf club life. He was honoured to serve the club as Rabbit Captain in our centenary year in 2008 and was elected Club Captain in 2012 then served as Honorary Secretary from 2015 to 2018. In between, he also chaired the Social and Marketing committees and served on the Rabbits Committee for many years.

From 2007 to 2011 he was the Competition Coordinator for the Halifax, Huddersfield and District Rabbits Golf Association and  was very honoured to be proposed to be the HHDRGA President when Meltham held the presidency in 2017.  Adrian has remained on their committee as an active Past President following his year of office and in 2022 was elected Honorary Secretary of the HHDRGA, a position that he continues to hold.

Away from golf, Adrian have worked in the carpet and flooring industry for almost 50 years. Having run his own business supplying own branded specialist flooring products to the cruise ship, ferry and maritime industries worldwide since 1999.
