Individual Stroke Play Championship
Date: Sunday 17th July, 2022
The weather was superb and the course was in good condition considering the hot dry weather recently and there were some great scores.
An extremely low entry for one of our most prestigious events, but considering other attractions and commitments it is understandable although disappointing.
The winner of the P S Cockroft Trophy was Jamie Smith of Halifax GC with a gross score of 135 (69/66)
The runner up was Mark Birkett also of Halifax GC with a gross score of 140 (71/69)
Third was Scot Minto of Hanging Heaton GC with a gross score of 142 (71/71)
The winner of the Jubilee Trophy for the best 36 hole gross by a Junior was Habib Khan of Willow Valley with a gross Score of 151 (77/74)
Best gross round 1 was Tom Williams of Lightcliffe GC with a score of 70.
Best Gross round 2 was Mike Lawrie of Crosland Heath GC with a score of 71.
